Our success is rooted in popularising the message but without trivialising it. It’s a simple approach and it works.
For adult learners, we’ve persuaded thousands to take action. We’ve created a children’s book with numeracy and literacy cues to help parents identify their skills needs and we’ve sent Maths Buskers to shopping centres around the country to demonstrate that brushing up on sums adds up to an easier life.
Similarly we’re persuading teenagers to consider a future career in science, technology, engineering and maths. With the help of Professor Brian Cox and Willy Wonka we are showing pupils that science and engineering aren’t all about lab coats, ubernerds and formulas.
