Nick Clark

Managing Director

Nick has now worked in PR for longer than he hasn’t. He’s obsessed with helping people and clients communicate clearly and simply. If you pin him down he’ll tell you he’s really a business to business and corporate communicator. Happily married with two children and living with a growing menagerie of pets in the suburbs, when he’s not being called on to defeat Nintendo baddies or help with maths homework, he’s a cricket fanatic and is battling to get his golf handicap under control. Tim Adams

Chairman

Our chairman Tim has worked in the agency business for 25 years: starting with Saatchi & Saatchi, then launching and building a multi-award-winning consumer agency, leading its growth and eventual sale to the management team he’d built up. He’s subsequently been applying his experience as a consultant and advisor to a range of agency businesses. He became Consolidated’s non-exec chairman in 2007 where his job is to ask tricky questions, check we’re not slacking and generally give the Board a hard time. Outside the office, he juggles family commitments in London, Somerset and Dublin with a lifelong and mostly long-suffering commitment to Leicester City FC, who reciprocated by giving him a signed football as a wedding present in 1996. Liz Fay

Head of Consumer

Liz started her career as a press officer for the US Air Force, just like Top Gun only not as sunny. She has worked agency side for 14 years and is passionate about PR that makes people switch on and do something.  Whether it’s a brand or a Government department, Liz firmly believes that effective communication starts with finding out all you can about the people you want to connect with. Paul Borge

Head of Digital

Paul gets notoriously grumbly when it comes to consultants that spend more time talking about social media than getting on with delivering brilliant campaigns for clients. For him it’s all about measurable results and ROI. He has 12 years of solid PR and digital experience and a love of technology and the web that shine through in his creative and pragmatic approach.  He’s inspired by his bicycle and the way it completely changes his perspective of London. When he’s not in the office you’ll most likely find him in the kitchen or the garden, probably with a good bottle of red in one hand a plate of home made Italian food in the other. Will Holt

Head of Scotland

An agency stalwart, Will may have tired of London and headed north to open the Scottish office, but he certainly isn’t tired of life. Over the years, he’s turned his hand to most things and is as comfortable running government public information campaigns as he is stirring things up for challenger brands. When struggling for that big idea, he’s been known to put his collection of deco cocktail shakers to good use. Edinburgh based, he’s regularly pursuing various sporting interests in the Highlands whilst counting down the days to the next Cheltenham Festival. Chris Lawrence

Creative Director

Chris has a passion for stories – telling them, hearing them, writing them, creating them… which is why media in all its forms inspires him every day. No surprise seeing as he started life as a journalist before turning gamekeeper to create stonking content for all the agency’s clients. He’s a firm believer in great ideas being able to work across the board – from TV to Twitter, red tops to radio – and while blue sky thinking is positively encouraged what really counts are creative ideas that generate the right results – from brand awareness to simply selling stuff. Stephen Marsh

Financial Director

Stephen calls the British Museum his second home – not that he is old enough to be an exhibit, mind. It is its amazing collections of artefacts dating back centuries which are real perspective givers when he needs time to think and de-stress away from his spreadsheets. A country lad at heart, Stephen commutes from his little bit of heaven in rural Cambridgeshire where he enjoys the great outdoors with his wife and three boys, not to mention his kitchen garden, orchard and chickens.  As a gin fiend he is particular about his brand of Tonic (Sipsmith and Fever-Tree by the way) and makes some wicked fruit gins to keep himself warm in winter. Elspeth Rothwell

Board Director

Identifying the issues that financial services providers can own that matter to the media is Elspeth’s passion. Whether that’s getting business banking specialists to talk about growth or mortgage providers to talk about property, she creates issues-based campaigns that deliver both column inches and bottom line value to her clients.  Her love for PR-ing mortgages in particular may have something to do with her passion for renovating houses. Anne Clarke

Board Director

Anne is a key player in our public sector offering with experience across campaigns for English, Irish and Scottish Governments. Social marketing work has been interspersed with major brand campaigns and crisis comms management over the years. A particular area of interest is marketing to women. In her spare time she loves a bit of art and culture (high and low). She is an avid reader and sometimes writer, having completed the STORY seminar with grumpy Hollywood legend Robert McKee and fiction courses at UCLA.
